Import Cars from Overseas to Canada

Vehicles from overseas that are under 15 years of age are not admissible to Canada, except for two cases. The first case is when the vehicle is returning to Canada from overseas with the original owner, and the second is when the vehicle is Canadian-owned and being sold to a new owner in Canada, Both cases require a pre-authorization letter from Transport Canada. Vehicles over the age of 15 years of age are admissible to Canada (The age is determined by the month and year it was manufactured).
