Border Buddy Technologies USA Inc., also known as Border Buddy Customs Brokers, is hereby appointed as the true and lawful agent and attorney of the grantor named above. This appointment gives Border Buddy Technologies USA Inc. the power to act on behalf of the grantor in all customs districts and to perform any acts required by law or regulation in connection with the importation, transportation, or exportation of any merchandise shipped or consigned by or to the grantor.

This power of attorney authorizes Border Buddy Technologies USA Inc. to make, endorse, sign, declare, or swear to any document required by law or regulation in connection with the importation, transportation, or exportation of merchandise. This includes the ability to receive merchandise, make endorsements on bills of lading, sign bonds, and sign and swear to any document required by law or regulation in connection with the entering, clearing, lading, unlading, or operation of any vessel or other means of conveyance owned or operated by the grantor.

The power of attorney also gives Border Buddy Technologies USA Inc. the authority to authorize other customs brokers to act as the grantor’s agent and to receive, endorse, and collect checks issued for customs duty refunds in the grantor’s name. Border Buddy Technologies USA Inc. has the ability to transact any and all customs business on behalf of the grantor and is given full power to do anything necessary to perform these duties.

The grantor acknowledges and represents that they have hired Border Buddy Technologies USA Inc. to act as their customs broker and are responsible for paying all accounts rendered by Border Buddy Technologies USA Inc. for their services. If the grantor is a limited liability company, the signatory certifies that they have the authority to execute this power of attorney on behalf of the grantor.

Note: If the grantor is a resident of the United States, the customs powers of attorney shall be without power of substitution except for the purpose of executing shipper’s export declarations. Importers must contact Border Buddy Technologies USA Inc. in advance if they wish to pay customs charges using a separate check payable to the U.S. Customs Service. The check must be the exact amount, arrive with the shipment, and cannot be drawn on a foreign bank.
